Well, I just got back from almost a full week in Vegas. As fun as it was I am glad to be back. All of the noise starts to get to you. I won some money playing poker and then let the one-armed bandits steal it all back from me. Oh well.

Don't forget, your quarterly estimated tax payments are due tomorrow if you're self-employed! It's definitely my favorite time of the year! I am excited that in just over two weeks I will be sitting on the beach in Wells relaxing. Hopefully I willl have some fun pictures to post.

I just spent an awesome weekend up on Lake Winnepesaukee relaxing.   Unfortunately because it was the first warm and sunny weekend of the year the thought of sunblock never crossed my mind.  My face it glowing bright red.  I am really not looking forward to when it peels!  Other than the sunburn I had a great time.  It was really nice being able to walk around on the pier and the beach with almost nobody else around at all.

Happy New Year!  I went up to Portland, Maine to celebrate the New Year with my sister.  We had a great time!  She had some friends over, including her boyfriend's brother who happens to be half of a great band called Cahill.  They performed live at her house, putting on a great show in an intimate setting.  You should definitely check out their website CahillMusic.com, and maybe even pick up a CD!

I hope you all had a great Turkey Day!  I ate waaaay too much turkey and other goodies, but something tells me I'm not the only one!  Shelly and I had a nice quiet Thanksgiving with here parents.  Yesterday we had a Thanksgiving II dinner over at my mom's house.  There was a very tasty prime rib that she roasted up.  Two days in a row of sitting around and pigging out - does it get any better than that?

I just spent a week on the coast of Maine trying to help promote Pug At The Beach.  If you aren't familiar with Pug then you should definitely check out the website and do a little bit of exploring.  Buy a copy of the book while you are there!  Saturday night I had a chance to check out the fireworks that were taking place on Short Sands Beach in York.

If you've never taken a look at the remains of the ruins of Madame Sherri's castle in then it's well worth a day trip.  Unsubstantiated rumors suggest that the castle actually served as a brothel as well. In 1962 the castle was destroyed by fire and now all that remains are the foundation, a fireplace, and a great stone staircase. Legend has it that the castle is haunted by the ghosts of several patrons. Some say that if you touch the staircase you can hear waltz music playing from within the castle.

Just got back from a nice relaxing trip to Wells Beach in Maine.  Three day weekends are great because they give you an extra day to relax!  The weather couldn't have been better.  I discovered that the Air Conditioning in my car doesn't work.  Bummer!  On Monday we took a trip to Ogunquit and had a great walk along the Marginal Way.  If you've never been I suggest that you check it out!

VEGAS!

I just got back from a nice traditional Thanksgiving in Las Vegas.  I have to say that it was a bit strange being in Sin City for the holiday but it was a nice change of scenery.  I had a nice dinner in the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at the Paris Hotel & Casino.

The last month has seen a whirlwind of activity!

The next 2 newspapers in the Eagle Publications project went live without a hitch last week.  www.eagletimes.com and www.cvvillager.com now have homes on the web!  This week we have the COOLEST woman from the New Media field that I have ever met working with us to kick off the sales effort with the staff over at The Eagle.  Her name is Susan Kremers and she is definitely an expert when it comes to internet advertising sales.  She can accomplish more in one week than most people can in an entire year!  I wish that I had met her years ago as I definitely could have benefited from her experience and positive energy.

Village Barn Hardware is also live with their all-new website!  They are now able to update their online catalog on the fly so that nothing ever becomes stale!

Good news, the first three weekly papers at Eagle Publications are now officially online!  Be sure to check out www.arguschampion.com, www.messagefortheweek.com, and www.cvspectator.com.  All of these papers really excel at providing local content to their readers.  You won't find any of the canned national content that seems to be prevalent in today's media.

The Santosha project with Eagle Publications is coming along great!  We should be on schedule to launch the first three newspaper sites within the next couple of weeks, possibly even next week!  The first three weekly papers - The Message for the Week, The Connecticut Valley Spectator, and The Argus-Times are coming along nicely.  After that we will be moving forward with The Eagle Times, a daily paper.

It also looks like Village Barn is just about ready to launch and should be live within the next week or two.  Keep listening to the radio and I'm sure that you will hear about it when it does go live!

I just got back from a perfect long weekend in Wells Beach Maine with my Dad and the rest of the family.  The weather was awesome - perfect for sitting with your beach chair half in the water and half out.  Talk about relaxing!  Here's a couple of pictures from the weekend:

This past Saturday I attended an outdoor wedding and reception for my step-sister.  Everything was perfect except for the heat.  If you spent any time outside then I am sure that you know what I am talking about!  I feel really bad for the folks in the wedding party who had to wear tuxedos and formal wear.  I am really looking forward to the weekend of July 9th because I will be spending it in Wells Beach with my Dad.  We have been going every July for the last couple of years and it is a very relaxing and wonderful time.

Meet Tino, the lazy little dog.  I can't blame him because he's overdue for a haircut and it's 100 degrees out.  I wouldn't be moving either!

I just returned from Fort Myers Beach, Florida on Sunday and I have spent the last couple of days getting up to speed on what I missed back here in New Hampshire.  Do you ever get the feeling that vacations just aren't worth it because of all the catching up you have to do when you get back?  Of course you don't, but it can still be a difficult process.   I got some really spectacular shots of the sunrise and sunsets as well as some footage from an air show that was going on.
